In the later stages I feel the responsibility falls mostly on the students. The students have to have the drive and determination to learn. If the parents did a good job by installing values in their children then this should not be a problem. Teachers have a responsibility to want the students to prosper in their subject. Teachers need to be enthusiastic in their classes. Parents have the responsibility to make sure their children are doing their work. Parents need to let their children know that their future relies on what they do in their studies. This process needs to be constant over time. In a percentile view it would be Students 60%, Parents 20%, and teachers 20%. I do think that the parent and teacher percents can change in a +/- 5.

Who is Responsible for learning?
Learning is something that should happen everyday. One of my favorite things to say is "You learn something new everyday." I truly believe that I do learn something new everyday. The real question is who is responsible for the learning? As many of my classmates I believe that the responsibility lays in the parents and teachers hands in the early stages, which some responsibility on the students, and then shifts to majority of the responsibility on the student, which minors on the parents and teachers. In the early stages the parents need to install good study habits and a desire for learning in the children. They need to make the children want to learn. The teachers also need to make learning fun for their students. If they make them hate school and not want to be there then they really should not be a teacher because that would blow. If I had to put numbers into an equation I would say 50% parent, 40% teacher, and 10% student.

Now that I think about what I wrote, since I didn't consider early or later stages in school, I must agree that parents do have a vital role in how kids perform in class. THey determine how well they behave in class and how many opporunities have to be active. Therefore, once they get to class they will either do good or bad within it. This is where it is the teachers job to make the environment the best to motivate and instill the ideas of how P.E. is important and fun. No one should be afraid to go to P.E. becuase of the teachers or parents or students. I like how you added in +/- values of correctness.
