Technology on the PE classrooms

I strongly believe that’s technology is not needed in the Physical Education classroom. Technology is not as high-tech as it was in the past but physical education was still strong and affective without it. I can see how it may help with the use of projector screen, PowerPoint, videos, and heart monitors but are they really needed. There was a discussion in class how one would buy as many new high-tech equipment for the PE classroom because the district will be economically wealthy. As for low economic districts, new technology should not be priority. Having new equipment should be the priority. Technology would be useful to teach children the skills and movement through lecture but physical education is mainly hands on teaching and how well will students learn the skill with limited and unserviceable equipment.
If a PE classroom has all the necessary equipment then one can move on to technology. I believe the most import technology are the ones that give the teacher different styles of teaching the students. A projector screen can allow teacher to display videos of certain skills which can help students use imagery to practice the skill. PowerPoint can allow students to read as the teacher is explain the skill. Dance Dance Revolution may also be used if students are understanding that they are using DDR for the physical activity and not entertainment.
