Philosophy Statement Revisited

In revisiting my philosophy of technology statement from the beginning of the semester, I realize that it has not changed much. I still believe that technology can greatly add to the efficiency and effectiveness of physical education classes. Heart rate monitors, computers, and videos, as I had mentioned before, are important and very helpful in creating and administering lessons.
However, I have learned about new interesting types of technology that can be incorporated into P.E. Some of these include geocaching, DDR, and a number of emerging technologies that some of my classmates introduced. I also realized the importance of staying up to date on these emerging technologies to keep the students engaged and excited about class. Most importantly, as a teacher, I must use technology properly, and not over-rely on it in teaching.
