Philosophy Statement (revised)

            After taking this course and working with all sorts of different technologies I must admit that my personal prejudices towards technology in the PE setting have slightly disappeared.  That does not mean that I will personally choose to incorporate all that technology into my regular teaching, but it does mean that I will not rule out any possibilities of incorporating it on occasions that would benefit from its use.  For the most part, my philosophy regarding technology in the PE setting has remained in tact, yet one difference is that I can appreciate the use of technology more now that I have seen the various ways that it can be applied without hindering the physical aspect of the class.  I believe that the use of excel spreadsheets and power points serve as a great teaching tool for displaying information to your students and I even like web quests just as long as they are being assigned as homework and never take the place of class time activities.
