The first thing I would buy with the $2000 dollars would be a tablet PC. The tablet PC costs $500 (http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=tablet+PC&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&cid=4399181327824485914&ei=HxDSTNeTAaHMM7vq1ZIP&sa=title&ved=0CAcQ8wIwADgA#p). This tablet PC would allow me to not only save time performing tedious tasks, such as attendance, but it will also allow me to carry it around and help me grade students and create the possibility of feedback. This would allow me to walk around and jot down notes about children, allow me to grade students on performance, etc. It would speed up the process or grading and evaluating because I would be able to instantly input this data, saving me valuable time spent transferring it over form a handbook. This tablet PC would also allow me to pull up information on screen to show children how they are doing which provides them with feedback. It will serve as a great utility to my teaching. It will allow me to keep track of all my equipment, grades, etc. It would make me a much more organized teacher. Overall, this will aid in my teaching by saving me time to perform various extra duties.
With $1500 left, I would purchase two cheap projectors costing only $330 dollars (http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=projector&hl=en&cid=13622302629368910062&ei=BRHSTJubAYSGNvjjoJMP&sa=title&ved=0CAcQ8wIwADgA#p). There is no need to buy a super expensive projector for P.E. This projector will be used to show students what I want to them do, provide them with cues, history, and information about the skill or sport they are performing. This will aid in my teaching because it will allow me to provide and place information on a screen for students to see. It will supplement as an introduction, a task list, or an information provider. I would be able to hook up the tablet PC to this device quick and easy to show students anything they need to be shown as a group. This will save me time when explaining tasks. It will also be able to provide students will a reference for correctness, both visually and verbally. I can supplement the information from the projector with verbal information for the best knowledge transfer. It will enable me to provide students with professional examples of what something should look like. It would enable me to grab the student’s attention and keep them motivated.
I agree that a tablet PC would be very helpful for taking attendance and grading students during activities. The tablet is a quicker, easier, and more accurate way of evaluating students during class. I also agree that a projector will be very useful but I feel that a somewhat nicer or more expensive projector would be better and more reliable than two cheap projectors. It would be very inconvenient if the cheap projector stopped working during a lesson. Lastly, the HR monitors and the GPS tracking devices are a good investment. Overall, you did a good job of using the $2000.
