The first item I would buy is a projector with a built-in DVD player, which would cost $550 This projector would be used to show students videos, powerpoint presentations, and other types of display information. Videos can be shown from the internet or a DVD that will teach the students how to perform a skill or activity. There is a microphone input on the projector, which allows the teacher to speak while the video is playing. The teacher could help explain parts of the skill as the video is playing, or paused, to give the students a better understanding of the skill. PPT presentations can be shown to explain the history, rules and regulations, and other information relating to a specific sport of physical activity.
The next item I would buy is an Apple Macbook laptop for $1000. This laptop would be used to show lesson related videos from the internet and PPT presentations to the students. The laptop could also be used to take attendance using an Excel spreadsheet or another type of spreadsheet. Finally, I would buy a wireless presenter, which will make it easier to present a video or PPT. It has a large range so it can be used anywhere in the gym and has a laser pointer, which can help to point out certain movements of a skill or activity

Rob, I feel that the purchases you would make would be very beneficial to this P.E. department. I feel that the laptop is a great idea so you do not have to transfer information from pen and paper to a desktop. Also, I feel that a projector is a great idea so that you can present information to a class easily. Finally, a presenter would be a great idea in order to enhance your presentations. These technology upgrades would definitely improve the learning environment and also make your job easier as a teacher. Great Job!
