However, I still believe that technology can be detrimental if used too often. If the teacher uses technology too often he or she can become dependent on the technology in order to teach a lesson The teacher should use technology to enhance the lesson not use it just because it is available. So as long as the technology is used efficiently, I think it can be beneficial in the physical education setting.

Philosophy Statement Revised
After taking this course my philosophy on technology in physical education is still the same. I still believe it can be used efficiently to manage and assess a classroom. This can be done by using computers to take attendance and use equipment such as pedometers and heart rate monitors to assess performance. I also think that technology can be useful in order to prepare for a lesson. A teacher can use a computer to do research prior to a lesson if the teacher is not too familiar with the unit or skill.
