Online Physical Education
Online Physical is an oxymoron. How are students supposed to learn to do movements and skills by reading a textbook or text off of a computer. The best way to learn a new skill is by doing it yourself and practicing. You just cant get that from an online physical education course. I would never suggest to any of my students to take an online physical education course. I would rather have my kid be in a roll out the ball physical education program rather than an online one because they will get to practice on their movement skills. With more American children become obese every year, online physical education does not help that problem it only makes it worse. I can see an online physical education program only benefitting certain types of people. For adults who are looking to get their GED or people with disabilities would make a good reason to take the online physical education course. I think the best idea would be to incorporate an online assignment or project into the classroom physical education class and have them use the internet to teach their own skill of their choice to the class using various technologies.

I agree with Josh's assessment of how difficult it would be to learn a task just by reading text or watching a video online. The student needs immediate, appropriate, and specific feedback to truly improve their skills. I also agree that I would rather have my student in a roll out the ball type of physical education. Atleast then they are interacting with their peers and actually performing movement tasks. I also think it is a much better idea to incorporate an online aspect or project rather than having an online curriculum.
